What would happen if Clinton and Obama ceased all primary campaigning and declared a joint ticket for Pres&VP?

If they did this they would be unstoppable. And frankly I hope that they do. The question remains (at this point anyway) which one of them would settle for VP? I don't think it would work like you suggested that they would let the remaining delegates decide, but it sure would be smart if they did.
