Why is my Mom so critical of me?

A famous guy, will smith, once said, parents just don't understand. Some parent, people in general, are very critical and feel the need to attack everyone else. its her opinion, she could be in a nasty mood haveing a bad day, oh my daughter walks in i own her, lets take it out on her. That how every parent is. And lets face it every parent doesnt have great parentitng skill, and you might not get threw to her but you should at least try sit her down, and say mom, I'm 22, I no longer need your opinions on the things I do and What I wea, I'm becoming an adult and if I enjoy wearing cartoons at this point it concerns me, and no one else. If you could lay off the comments I'd be highly appreciative, because your not going to change me, I am me and you are you, and I will never be you. The end, if she doesnt get it, you'll just have to put up with it till you can move out. Just remeber they come from a generation where the kids did what they were told when they were told, especially if her mom was strict with her she might of inherited it, just keep that out the cycle with your own kids.
