Has the U.S.A. reached its lowest ebb with its grovelling to Israel?

The whole world knows that the settlements on the West Bank are illegal and the U.S. has been pleading with them to suspend building to facilitate the renewal of the peace talks. The Israelis have shown their utter contempt for the U.S. by simply ignoring them. Perhaps its time for the U.S. to stop vetoing U.N. resolutions against Israel to try and regain some respect.
